If you are building a new sewer or lateral drain, which is intended to connect to one of our public sewers, you must first enter into an adoption agreement with Welsh Water. It is essential that you enter into this adoption agreement before you begin any construction work.
The Water Industry Act sets out the legislation which regulates new sewer connections. The Act does not allow any new connections to a public sewer without an adoption agreement in place. This is to ensure that arrangements for future maintenance of the sewer are established.
To begin your application for a Sewer Adoption Agreement, simply complete the form below. We’ll then send you an application pack.
Please note; the submission of this form is for enquiry purposes only and is not a formal application. The information you provide will help us to determine the next steps you need to take to complete a full application.
